Old No Name was NH’s first released single due to their fan’s feelings on it being their band theme song. At every live concert, lead singer CC will shout “We Work Hard, to Play Hard, We Take--” followed by the crowd shouting “NO HANDOUTS!” This song is representative of the younger millennial generation being constantly berated by older generations on their life plans while societal obstacles hold them back. No Handouts is an activist band, fighting for many liberal American rights and policies, such as acceptance of LGBTQIA+ communities, gender and race equality, climate change, etc. This song truly represents their “salty” take on the current situations at hand.. reminding all Karen’s of the world that we may play hard, but we work hard too, our generation takes NO HANDOUTS.
